I love real ale, but over the years I have been trying it, I have come 
to the conclusion that my taste perceptions can vary, depending on what 
I had for breakfast, did I clean my teeth enough, what did I have to eat 
the night before. There so many variables and because of this I have 
severe doubts about the judges in cooking progs as to their perceptions 
of the food they taste. Who tells me how much salt to add in a recipe? Me!

Going back to real ale, I have tried one at least 5 times and even now 
and I still can't make my mind up about it.
