The denizens of Sutton Coldfield played merry hell back in 1974 when,
in line with the county boundary changes, they were assimilated into
Birmingham. They are known by outsiders as inveterate snobs, and even
protested in considerable numbers when a branch of Aldi's opened there
some time ago.
They're all fur coat and no knickers in my estimation, but then that's
'anything south of York' for you....
