Emperor Junior is on Kings Road in London sorry for any confusion!

The thing with City Hall is to get there by 11.30 latest - otherwise you
have to stand over a table and look really hungry to get them to leave!

I think Maxim's took over City Hall restaurant in 1994, before that it was

run by City Hall itself - I remember as a small boy ( 5-6 onwards ) going

on Saturday lunch times to meet up with my father after his Saturday
halfday
of work at the Marine Department! The volume of noise and the excitement
of
being able to see what one was getting lives with me to this day!

I also know a place just down from Cat Street Upper Lascar Row- it used to

be called the Hoover Sea food restaurant ( it changed recently or it just
does not have any English in its new sign ) that does really good dimsum -

it is a very local place not really set up for gwailo's - you share a
table
large enough to have 8 around it, - last time I was there it took 15
minutes
for them to find an English language menu! So I ordered in Cantonese
instead
and had a lively conversation with a the family is was sharing the table
with about food. The restaurant have banks of steamers there which you put

your own selection on to cook or order from the passing lady with her tray

of goodies - no trolley's though. It is on Lok Ku Road, Midland Centre - I

am not sure if you can access from Queen's Road. I do remember though that

the ****tion of Yung chow chow fan we had was enormous -
