Macca’s shrine to Linda desecrated by poacher

Sir Paul McCartney’s woodland shrine to his dead wife, Linda
McCartney, has been desecrated by a sadistic poacher who launched a
savage attack on a member of the local deer population.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place in the early
hours of Sunday 24 February 2008.
Neighbours of McCartney discovered the head, legs and intestines of a
deer dumped on the roadside in Post Lane, which runs adjacent to the
woods. The poacher had scraped the hair off the deer rather than skin
it.
The woods are adjacent to sanctuary land belonging to The League
Against Cruel S****ts and are managed by the League on behalf of Sir
Paul.
Paul Tillsley, operations manager for the League said: ‘The depravity
of this particular incident is appalling, for it to have been
committed on land dedicated to Linda’s memory is all the more
shocking’.
