While I've never personally used Rich's Whip, it may be possible that
it doesn't freeze well:

Note that their "Bettercreme" description includes "survives freeze/
thaw", while Whip doesn't mention freezing. The photo also shows
that the can says "keep refrigerated". I would examine the container
to see if it mentions freezing. (I have seen products that explicitly
state "do not freeze".)
The website also has an 800-number you can call for questions and
comments. Perhaps you can ask them directly?
