Passover Cake

This is a recipe for a wonderfully moist Passover cake. It was my 
Great-Grandmother's recipe. It is truly a treasure. I hope you try it, and

enjoy it.

Mom's Brod Torte Recipe


8 eggs--separated
1C sugar
1/2 C finely chopped almonds
1/8C orange juice
grated orange rind
1/2 t  cinnamon
1/4 t cloves
1/4 t allspice
1C matzo meal

 Beat egg yolks with sugar till very light, add almonds, juice, rind,
spice
and matzo meal.
Beat egg whites till stiff.
Fold whites into yolk mixture.
Bake in ungreased tube pan with wax paper (or brown bag paper) in the
bottom. Cut a ring to fit the pan.
Bake for 1/2 hour--test with wooden skewer.  at 325
Cool completely in pan upside down.
