I have that book.  It's mostly about the business side
of being a confectioner rather than making confectionery.
And it very much reflects the state of the business
in pre-war England, though much of the advice is
universally applicable.  The author has lots of
interesting anecdotes about dealing with customers,
employees, and suppliers.

at $11.83.  I think I paid more than that for my copy,
but certainly not much more.  This is not a rare book.
