McDonald's(R) New York Tri-State Area Restaurants Launch New Southern Style Menu Additions With the Help of Special Guest Sandra Lee

by weberm@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Ubiquitous) May 8, 2008 at 11:15 PM

ROSELAND, N.J., May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Along with the help of special
guest and Food Network Emmy-nominated television star, Sandra Lee,
McDonald's New York Tri-State Area restaurants are holding an exclusive
tasting of their latest menu additions: Southern Style Chicken Biscuit,
Southern Style Chicken Sandwich and Sweet Tea at a Times Square
location. In an effort to bring Southern hospitality to the New York
Area, guests have the op****tunity to sample all three items, while
learning about Southern culture and food history from home and style
expert, Sandra Lee. [From SLop? She's the LAST person I'd offer as
knowledable about southern culture, and food, for that matter]

The two new Southern Style Chicken menu items provide great-tasting
options for chicken lovers and feature a juicy, perfectly seasoned,
all-white meat chicken breast patty on either a new biscuit for
breakfast or a steamed bun topped with two pickles for lunch and dinner.
Southern Style Sweet Tea is served ice cold, fresh brewed and sweetened
to perfection in a special cup that keeps your sweet tea cold all day.
Just in time for summer, McDonald's Southern Style Sweet Tea is perfect
for something refre****ng, crisp and different.

"We're pleased to welcome, Sandra Lee, as our special guest, to
introduce the significance of McDonald's new menu choices to the New
York Metro Area," said Paul Hendel, president of the McDonald's New York
Tri-State Area Owners/Operators Association. "Ms. Lee's knowledge and
expertise shed light on why chicken for breakfast or Sweet Tea has an
im****tant place in southern culture. To thank her for acting as our
guest, the McDonald's New York Tri- State Owner/Operators Association is
making a donation in Sandra Lee's name to Ronald McDonald House
Charities."

In the vein of true Southern hospitality, McDonald's is treating its
customers with a chance to try the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit for
free from 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., or a Southern Style Chicken Sandwich
beginning after breakfast hours until 7:00 p.m. on May 15, with the
purchase of any medium or large beverage at participating restaurants
(while supplies last). The sampling events in the New York Metro area
will give customers the op****tunity to try chicken for breakfast and
decide what they prefer to eat first: the chicken or the egg.

McDonald's provides its customers with convenient restaurant
locations, many with drive-thru service and great-tasting menu options,
including the new Southern Style Chicken Biscuit and Sandwich. The
Southern Style Chicken Biscuit is McDonald's first-ever chicken
breakfast menu offering and continues the company's legacy of breakfast
and menu innovation, following the introductions of Premium Roast Coffee
and the McSkillet(TM) Burrito.

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.
