WUAB-TV43 Cleveland (My Network TV) airs these ads for Rally's
constantly weekday mornings and afternoons (during daytime courtroom
shows/talk shows), and they're _always_ the same-- trying to attract
the young 20-something Aferican American male crowd for business. Same
thing w/ WTBS-TV17 Atlanta (TBS) w/ (their) Checker's (brand).
In case you haven't heard of Rally's and/or Checker's...... they're
this drive-thru-only cheap, minimum quality hamburger chain. You drive
through on one side, order at the back and collect your food on the
other side and you're on you're way. There's also a small walk-up
window to buy stuff and they usually have a couple of outdoor tables
to sit and eat your food (NOT FUN in the winter!!!).
In Canada, Fast Eddie's copies the Rally's/Checker's experience. But
we don't have ad campaigns that look like a BET music video gone soft.
In fact, there's nooooooooooo ad campaign (((at all))) for Fast
Eddie's. Same concept, though-- cheap-ass quality/price food faster
than dicking around wasting time at McDonald's or Burger King.
