Re: Laurie - Whats your view on this hypothesis?

For those who don't choose to take the time to read this, our dear
leader shows the most clear case of a crippled use of science as one
might find from one claiming to be an "expert". The below is riddled
with half truths, flaws in fact and logic, and misdirections of
ommissions and irrelevant information.

Sad too it is a manifest example of one whose posturing and bluff
reaches its limitations because there are those who know as much or more
in some areas and over more areas then he does.

I must moderate myself here least it turn into insult, smile.

Milk proteins contain opioids:
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casein#Opioids.

molecules with a structure similar enough to another chemical, known
narcotics, that the second mimics the first in biochemistry. Thus, warm
milk is fed to the helpless infants and the opioids put the child to
sleep.
Remember the folk tale about warm milk helping you sleep? It is a NARCOTIC
DRUG effect"

What a bunch of hogwash, silly really. Your reference page said nothing of
your "sleep" effect being from this protein. It is from another substance
found in milk, and many many foods.

Many foods also contain opioids like substances, the body even has
receptors for them because of their role in human metabolism.

As to being chimically similar, what a hoot. This is from your reference:

Casein has a molecular structure that is quite similar to that of gluten.
Thus, most gluten-free diets are combined with casein-free diets and
referred to as a gluten-free, casein-free diet."

Glutin, just to educate you, is found in high amounts in wheat products
and
to lesser amounts in rye and other cereals.

"Casein is used to make plastics, paints, and adhesives. The human cannot
digest it past suckling biochemistry. That is why there are so many milk
and dairy allergies."

Proteines from any source, including plants, can cause allergies. Some
like
those from peanuts can cause death and that allergy from peanuts does not
like that from milk and other foods tend to disappear as a child matures.
It is digested in adults without any problem, just do a word search for
"digest" in your reference page. Or consider:

* Casein is a remarkably efficient nutrient, supplying not only essential
amino acids, but also some carbohydrates and the inorganic elements
calcium
and phosphorus. * Whey is quickly metabolized, while casein is more timed
delayed. * Casein is one of the major proteins in the milk of all mammals
including cows, goats, and humans.

"Casein has been do***ented to break down to produce the peptide
casomorphin, an opioid that appears to act primarily as a histamine
releaser.[1] Casomorphine is suspected by some sources to aggravate the
symptoms of autism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casein#Opioid
"

Here is the part following the above you snipped, shame on you for this
dishonesty:

However, a 2006 review concluded that insufficient evidence existed to
sup****t the use of elimination diets (i.e., casein or gluten free) in the
treatment of autism spectrum disorders.^[3] More im****tantly preliminary
data from the first and only double-blind randomized control trial -
re****ted in the Journal of autism and developmental disorders - of a
gluten- and casein-free diet showed "no statistically significant findings
even though several parents re****ted improvement in their children."^[4]

"You falsify the Truth by intentionally ignoring well-know facts; at least
well known to those who make some efforts to educate themselves.

Your rap in biochemically-absurd." What a hoot, consider the dishonesty
you
have shown above. Educating oneself goes far beyond doing a wiki pedia
search.

                > This change is seen in the greater number of those who
survive in
                > the next generation who have that genetic change. This
change made
                > available

"There is NO EVIDENCE that even suggests that humans gave "evolved" to eat
animal flesh, just because humanity did it for millions of years. There
are NO such "adaptive mechanisms" to do that."

We remind you we are speaking of milk, not flesh. As for adaptations for
flesh consumption, for one example please tell us the specific function of
the enzyme elastin in human metabolism?

You are a mindless propagandist, that is all."

Tsk, tsk, tsk, our dear leader will be getting on your case for insults
and
you will be invited to leave the group, shame; shame.
