Re: Laurie - Whats your view on this hypothesis?

PLEASE stop ‘bottom posting’, it wastes time and resources.

> … it doesn't seem normal for chimps to use sticks as tools …
How are you defining “normal” in this context?
Chimps are unfortunately, starting to “develop” ‘culture’; the social
propagation of unnecessary, and possibly deleterious, behavior pasterns.

> … to retrieve termites and ants … of a food source …
What evidence is there that this is a nutritionally-meaningful “food
source”?
	I don’t see any.

> … just as humans are using cow's and goat's milk to our
"advantage"
Also a cultural, not a nutritional, manifestation; much to the
detriment of the followers of this cult.

> … since ants and termites are a natural food source for the
> chimpanzee.
NOPE: if they were a “food source’, then all adults would manifest
this behavior, but only insignificant amounts are eaten, and not by
all adults; thus, these are NOT “a natural food source for the
chimpanzee”.
People making this claim have the heavy burden of demonstrating a
nutritional imperative linked to this behavior, but they can not.

> I agree that drinking milk raw can be risky business although our
ancestors did it for thousands of years.
Yet, no ‘adaptation’ to bovine beverage occurred, since such
practices are still linked to ‘degenerative diseases’.

> Homogenization takes care of that problem …
Nope: Homogenization merely reduces the size of the fat globules,
thus increasing their trans****t directly across the gut wall into the
blood stream; “gut leakage”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homogenization

> … but it also denatures the milk.
Nope: denature refers to uncoiling the three-dimensional structure of
the protein, and the consequent loss of biological activity.

> I personally drink milk but far less than when I was young.
	What is the logical reason?
IF you were ‘supposed’ to consume milk, it would be human milk and
your mother should be providing it for you; can she?
Read the notmilk.com site for a lengthy exposition on the hazards of
consuming bovine beverage.
	Understand the hormone issue.

> Never had a problem with it …
Nasal mucus, ”cold/flus”, bronchial congestion, inner ear infections, …
Meat-eaters never –consciously- “ have a problem with it” until the
first heart attack or cancer; then it's too late.
