I prefer slightly cool water at nearly all times. (Slightly cool as in,
"as it comes from the faucet," which is consistently cooler than room
temp., at least where I live, for much of the year. In the coldest
months, the water may be around 45 F, which is tolerable to me. In the
warmest months, 65-70 F.)
I've taken to carrying my own water, as fast food places try to drive
customers toward sodas (*). Not a plastic bottle, but a stainless steel
Sigg bottle, which I fill at home or on the road.
(A McDonald's near me had water coming from their soda machine that
tasted like week-old toilet bowl water. Of course, the sodas were also
made with this water, albeit maybe fresher.)
