In the 1980s and during the cold war era, I notice that soft drink sold
overseas had their own turf to sell. For example, in Russia, you do not
buy a coke, but Pepsi only. In China, it was only Coke, not Pepsi. In
India... it was more of a Coke or a Pepsi (I can't remember). In the
middle east, Coke was banned and only can get Pepsi.
Is this still happening overseas now? Is Coke still boycotted in some
countries of the world?
Was some selling in a country due to political pressure, or exclusive
rights to sell soft drinks?
