Can you actually tell by looking at the longer URL whether its going to
eat
your computer? Personally, that's why I always use protection. <g>
The likelihood of someone who posts frequently in a forum over a long
period
of time, suddenly and intentionally posting an op****tunistic malicious
website, and disguising it under a tinyurl is... well.... slim and none,
and
Slim just left town. Maybe that's one of the reasons that its recommend
you
read a forum or NG for a while before posting to it.Its definitely bad
form
to make your presence known by posting an off topic criticism of a post
made
by a well known resident of the forum, especially if it implies they have
surreptitiously tried to foist something harmful on the forum.
