Mom's Peanut Butter Pie
-
1 pie crust baked & cooled
1 lg pkg vanilla pudding cooked & cooled
1/2 cup peanut butter
Cool Whip
3/4 cup powdered sugar
-
Low Down: Powdered Sugar can be 'homemade' with some SPLENDA sugar
substitute and Ye Olde blender -- Use a Lo Fat or at least a 'natural'
PB
=3D
Mix peanut butter & sugar 'till crumbly. Spread 3/4 of mix on crust. Add
pudding, then cool Whip; top with rest of crumbs. Refrigerate.
-
Prep note(s): ~ There is an option here with crusts....buy 'ready made'
from the store or 'make it yourself. Myself, I would much rather do the
latter...mainly because it allows control of what's in it and eliminates
the 'preservative' chemicals therein. There is ALSO a 2nd
option....traditional' crust or the ever yummy 'Graham Cracker' one.
Imagine this recipe on a CHOCOLATE Graham Cracker crust !
~ If doing the 'homemade' version of powdered sugar, and ALREADY having
everything 'out' anyway...make up a good sized 'batch'; store the unused
****tion in an air-tight container for later use.

Mom's Famous Peanut Butter Sauce for Ice Cream

This is a much requested item every holiday especially as a guest 'bring
along' as it is a hit with all that try it.
-
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 (12 oz) jar peanut butter
=A02 Tbsp marshmallow creme
-
Low Down: Use a sugar substitute, such as SPLENDA and either a Lo Fat
version of the PB, or at least a 'natural' one.
=3D
Heat water & sugar to boiling. Pour into lg bowl; add peanut butter &
marshmallow. Beat till it starts to thicken.

Serving suggestion: For the PB-holics....Think of this ON TOP of PB ice
cream, ON TOP of the above pie. B-))
