Let me answer that one with full confidence, since I put some of that wine
in the freezer before work today.

Wine can be frozen depending on the alcohol content.  The cheaper wines
are
usually maybe 11% alcohol and they will freeze solid or fairly so.  This
wine I used for cooking was a better brand and higher alcohol content
(14.5%)

I poured this into two little pyrex cups this morning....1/2 cup of wine
in
each. It's been plently long enough now for a full freeze but this wine
didn't quite make it.  This wine froze enough to hold it's shape when
taken
out of the pyrex bowl, but I can still push my finger right to the bottom.

It's like a semi-hard slush.

That ought to last for awhile for future cooking.  My recipe turned out
very
nicely so I might make it again this weekend. I will post the recipe by
then
too.
