Question about preserving opened bottle of wine

I'm going to cook a small meal today in crockpot using chicken breast,
onion, mushrooms, wine, various spices...then thicken it towards the end
using corn starch or flour...and served over egg noodles.

I've made it before but never wrote down the recipe. I'll write down
everything today in case it turns out good. 

My question is about the wine. I've got a bottle that I've been saving for
months and will go ahead and open it for this. I only need about 1/2 cup
and
I'm wondering 2 things.

How long will the remaining wine stay good for drinking when I recork it
and
keep in fridge.

Also, if I pour some in little containers (like baby food jars), how long
will that last in fridge for future cooking.
