Cookies
2 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup cornstarch
1 1/2 cups butter
4 teaspoons lemon peel
Frosting
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 cup butter
4 teaspoons lemon peel
Combine all cookie ingredients. Beat at low speed until well mixed.
Shape dough into 3/4-inch rolls and wrap in waxed paper. Chill.
Cut rolls into 1/4-inch slices and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Mix frosting ingredients in small bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.
Spread on cooled cookies.
