Good Morning all, even if it is barely! This week was much easier not
that I have my cl***** set in a better schedule! The 14 hour days
just weren't cutting it and the fact that I managed to catch the bug
that has been floating around and missed Wednesday and half of
yesterday didn't help. But that's ok! I'm all better now. Watched a
great DVD , two DVD set, on a Russian Icon painter that was filmed in
Russia and set in the 1400's, it was dubbed in english and excellent!
Started watching it at 10:30 pm and it finished up at 2:30 am. Then
was up at 8 am today but I feel good; for I am doing what I need to
do!
On the school front I gave the re****t in Health on Monday and was
going to hear the rest of the cl***** re****ts on Wednesday and got
sick. Went in sick on Tuesday and started on a project in Ceramics 2,
that isn't due until the 24th; well yesterday it made the slop bucket
and am restarting on Tuesday. That is one thing I have always been
able to do is look at what I am working on and decide whether is
keepable or trashcan material and am unafraid to trashcan it if I
don't like how it is going and I can see it isn't working out.
However, I in ceramics one made a coil pot in the style that I have
always like which is thin coils smashed flat so that they are less
then an 1/8 of inch thick and building with that. Makes for an
incredibly thin wall pot! I work with super moist clay for I am
handling it a lot and that dries it out. It got finished when it hit
about a foot high and it was doing the normal for me, canting to the
left. Any hinger and it would have fallen to its side! The
instruction called it "sensuous" for the way it curved and leaned!
But I found that I could build with the really thick and come up with
good stuff as well as the extremely thin which is my normal style. So
that is good.
The one thing that I did was good for me and that was I ordered a
toolkit that was put together specifically for feminine apartment
dwellers. My tools disappeared on this move. Troy doesn't have them;
they just "disappeared during the move. I have my suspicions of where
they went and it isn't him.
