Treece

Treece is a small, plastic-curd (pasta filata) Italian cheese. The curd
is
braided or interlaced. The cheese is eaten fresh. (See Caciocavallo and
Scamorze.)

From USDA Agr. Handbook No.54, Cheese Varieties and Descriptions,
George P.Sanders, issued Dec. 1953
