..
I remember when I got hold of one of these and was having problems getting
the BBC BASIC prog to load. Dropped them a line (no email then) and a
sma****ng young guy turned up here one day after work with a load of freeby
discs (wretched 3" floppies) and enthusiastic smile.
..
Then he saw the BBC B and the Archimedes chugging away and probably
wondered
whyat the heck I wasnted with an Einstein in the first place... Because I
could!!
..
I had hours of fun with it, and the LOGO disc he gave me.
It's in the loft now, but still working, which is more than you can say
for
the BEEB and the Archi which both turned pear-shaped.
But they were used more,,, heck, I dragged that Archimedes backwards and
forwards to Lincon****re in a shopping bag. 8)))
..
People asked 'Doesn;t it worry you carrying a computer in a that tatty
patchwork shoulder bag?'
Reply: 'Would YOU want to steal a bag lthat looked like this?'
..
Ah well.... Still haven;t done the Tesco order. First thing in the
morning,
then... But I am backed up - then wondered why the heck I bothered as
everything downloaded, and extras is stored on my E drive anyway and it's
the C drive I am going to kill... I mean reformat...
..
Confused, of Coseley.
