Mystery connector

by "Lydia Dustbin" <marrowjam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 12, 2007 at 11:32 AM

Baffled again.
I have a something to 15 pin connector here with thumbscrews. No
identifying
numbers

An icon on the outside shows an arrow in a screen shape. The tail of the
arrow going up and over a square - pointing into the screen.

The pins, fat side downside, have, from the left
9 pin beds 3x3, top and bottom left pair only occupied with a prodder -
male
prodder, that is.
small gap.
another 3x3 bed all but top left occupied.
small gap
5 pins. two top and bottom and a flat horizontal one between them.
..
What the hell is it???
..
The arrow in the monitor suggests video somehow, perhaps a second monitor
and the thumbscrews suggest an outside plug, not internal. It feels a
heavy
and solid 'thing.'
I can find no pics on the web that show the baffling set of prodders.

It has already taken me some time to identify a little lead that ended up
as
a dual graphic card connector.
Why don;t they TELL you things like this?
..
I don;t like this computer and I don;t think it likes me.
..
