Well, took a whack at making a roasted veggie pizza today. Even
bought a peel for the occasion.
Everything went fine, roasted the veggies (even roasted fresh
artichokes), made the pesto sauce, made the dough. Rolled the dough
out to about 15" diameter, put it on the peel (I'm sure the alarms are
going off in your heads now) and built the pizza.
Got the whole thing done and it looked really really good. Went to
the oven, opened the door, put the peel down on the stone and the
dough wouldn't budge. It wasn't really stuck to the peel, not like
the way dough would stick to a surface if it was to tacky, it was just
happy as a clam and wasn't going anywhere. I tried picking up parts
of it to slide parchment paper under, tried getting flippers under it,
tried cutting it in half etc. After I was done muckin' around with it
it looked like a calzone. The whole thing went into the trash and
we're going out to eat.
Not that I've done it incorrectly what is the correct way?
