KAFs Bagels #3

This is my third attempt at making these beauties. They are so simple and 
easy to make. The entire process takes only 3 hours. Try 'em out! :)

The dough: nice and "puffy"

Shaping the bagels wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I tried 
everything from swimming the Atlantic to dancing with Elvis. Twirl, swirl
- 
nope, loop it and swoop it - nope ... GNOCCHI's! ... well, it worked. I 
pinched the ends together.

They also don't peel off of the floured table as easily as I hoped.

Flipping them is insane - splish splash I was paintin' my kitchen - with 
sugared water!

But poping them off of the baking sheet at T-10 mins was a good idea. (Oil

doesn't seem to be as useful as parchment paper in this regard. The last 
batch was cemented tot he baking sheet.)

The taste? The crust is mental - crisp and chewy without being too tough. 
The crumb is soft and beautiful. Not bad considering I used only 1/2 the 
salt. (And I forgot an image of the crumb. I'll do that later.)
